asset- and non-asset-based cooperation with chemical corporations
A non-asset-based cooporation does not require investments in assets by the chemical corporation.
The chemical industry in general is one of the carbon intensive and a significant user of heat, steam and electricity which are mainly derived from the combustion of fossil fuels. Numerous corporations of the chemical sector have already invested in own energy generation assets or have entered Joint Ventures with specialized waste-to-energy or RDF power plant operators to ensure covering their specific energy demand. We have conducted feasibility and market studies for such Joint Ventures (chemical and waste industry) in different European Countries. We have designed alot of waste-fuel sourcing strategies and pre-negotiated the agreements with different suppliers.
In Germany more than 3,600 MW have already been installed in corporate´s-owned energy plants. Around 90.8 % of those in operation are gas-firing power plants with capacities between 2 and 110 MW each. Around 6.8 % are coal-firing plants, 1.4 % are waste-fired plants and only 0.9 % are biomass plants. While the gas substitution is a tough and complex issue, the substitution of coal is easier. Our expertise and plants designed base on BAT and proven technologies. Such technologies allow the corporations to gradually switch from 100 % fossil fuels to 0 % fossil fuel. The waste generated in the thermal process will be utilized in the construction sector and reduced to nearly 0 % closing the loop.
We are specialized in the field of energy, waste and circular economy. Combining our knowledge and expertise in all three areas we conduct analysis, feasibility studies, technical design of power plants, biogas plants, waste-to-energy plants, environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and business modeling.
We cooperate with chemical corporations based on a service or a works contract. If our clients decide to establish a Joint Venture or PPP we occasionally become also part of the shareholder structure (EPC), depending on the specific investment and Country. If you are interested in learning more about our work and cooperation with us, please use the non-binding-request-form.
